BLE Adapters
Tested Bluetooth adapters and connection troubleshooting
Use a USB Bluetooth Low Energy adapter if your PC does not have Bluetooth or its built-in connection is unreliable.
Tested adapters
These adapters have been used with FitOSC on Windows 10 and 11.
| Adapter | Bluetooth Version | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ASUS BT500 | 5.0 | ✅ Working | Plug-and-play on Windows 10/11. Backward compatible with BT 2.1, 3.x, 4.x. |
| TP-Link UB500 | 5.4 | ✅ Working | Nano-sized, plug-and-play on Windows 10/11. |
Other Bluetooth 5.0 or newer adapters may work. An adapter does not need to appear in this table to be compatible.
If FitOSC cannot find the treadmill
If FitOSC is not detecting your treadmill, try the following:
- Disconnect the treadmill from its companion app or any other Bluetooth client.
- Disable and re-enable the Bluetooth adapter in Windows Device Manager.
- Move the adapter to another USB port, or use a USB extension cable to bring it closer to the treadmill.
- Check that your adapter supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) — standard Bluetooth adapters without BLE will not work
